A little painting for training (and because I will have some commissions soon, so I have to "de-rust" myself). I wanted to paint a beautiful face, and I choose Jessica Alba as reference.
The title, Aslinn, is an irish name and means 'dream'.

It is a beautiful rendition of Jessica Alba, she is an amazing beautiful woman but you make her look absolutely ethereal. The coloring looks like she playing an ice queen but it has such a warmth of emotion in the eyes, that it just draws you in. The almost plum undertone to the make-up is just the perfect choice. It emphasizes the blue-silver coloring chosen for the hair and background. The only critique that I could say (and that is really pushing it to find one) is the lips need a bit more realism, it looks like a digital work where as everything else looks like a dreamy portrait. My only other comment and this is a personal touch that I would love to see, is if you gave her elf-like ears.

J'aime beaucoup ce que cette création dégage. Au-delà d'une représentation de Jessica Alba, on ressent tout un univers onirique qui s'ouvre à nous (le titre lui colle à la peau, je trouve :giggle:)
Je ne sais pas si cela vient des tons principaux choisis mais on retrouve un petit côté elfique au personnage :aww:

well you got her likeness nailed to a TEE! I knew it was her before I saw that in your description ... beautifully done ... the color tones you pick with the contrast of the dark lips leaves feel without losing the strength of the character ... your painting technique is superb ... well done overall! It makes me want to see what type of costume she would be wearing! :)

I do agree on the elf ears from MadamMishi ... something non-human but subtle would be a nice touch!
